It's been awhile! The last show I made it to was The Format at the Castro, and after that, Bitch Planet: Barbazon by squish and Rhonda Intl at the Great Northern where I saw Romy, Avalon Emerson, Empress Of (DJ set), Olof Dreijer (of the Knife), and Surusinghe! I missed Bambii b2b LSDXOXO because she was inside and it was a beautiful day.

Music lately

I didn't listen to a bunch of new music for awhile, but I'm back on the bus and here's what I've been loving:

1. New Marlon Hoffstadt. Das ist Daddy is hitting all the right notes. Er ist Daddy.
2. O'Flynn's new album Kairos is even better than I could have expected, and my hopes were already high.
3. Baauer's album U has a few misses, but overall a really fun album that I wasn't expecting to enjoy as much as I did.
4. Overmono's latest album Pure Devotion mostly feels like singles with filler, but I still enjoyed the singles.

Also hotly anticipating another album from Jacques Greene (jg) and !! HAAi is coming out with another one already so I am hyped (DIGITiSE). I'm hoping Malugi will put out an album at some point but in the meantime I'll enjoy his singles, Hold it Close and Feel the Love have been making the rounds.

https://program.audio/ is near my house but I haven't really checked it out intentionally, only by happenstance as I wander by on my way to or from errands. It's nice to see little pockets of the city activateed in cool ways and reminds me why I love living here.

Mostly I've been weightlifting, climbing, reading fiction and nonfiction books (finally out of a nonfiction slump) and doing jigsaw puzzles on occasion while listening to podcasts.
