It's been a bit busy
Bicep put on a great show and I'm grateful that The Warfield knows how to use their lights (unlike 1015) in a way that doesn't shine directly into patron's eyes. Breakbot was also a fun time after we escaped from the hordes to the balcony. I thought maybe I was back to every 2 weeks but I got busy so well here we are again on a monthly cadence. It’s fine. I’ll see you on the dancefloor.

Have never seen them live, am very excited for such. Glad it's not sold out too so hopefully there will be extra dance floor space for dancing.

Thu 4/21 – Honey Dijon at 1015 Folsom
Pam talked me into this show because she had a great time last time Honey Dijon was in town, so I’ll see you there!
Fri 4/22 – DJ Koze & Roman Flügel at 1015 Folsom
DJ Koze (cozy, or koh-tzuh) is a legend and I'm very excited to see him finally, 2 years after I last planned to. Hoping the b2b nights don't crush me.

Fri 4/29 – Logic1000, Femmelectric, and Banksia at Audio
She's fantastic, and the local DJs supporting are also very excellent. Insta-purchased tickets to this show and I recommend you do the same.

Check this out if you need some feel-good indie-folk. His track Euphoria is such a jam.

I love a good boat party. A nighttime boat party tho? Count me out.

Sampa the Great is great, and this show is very cheap. But I just realized this is a 4/20 show and that is sure to be an added vibe that I won't enjoy, but you might!

HIGHLY recommend this set. UK Garage is a helluva sound, Conducta is EXCELLENT and the vibe at Monarch can't be beat. If I'm back from Bishop I'll be here.

Not a huge fan of his DJ sets but his live set was excellent and the vibe at the Phoenix Hotel is such a fun people-watching vibe.

Such a fun band, this should be a fun set.

Killer 3 hr set at the Midway in 2020, this should be fun.

Shiny tech house poolside vibes, the people watching promises to be better than the beats here.

Recent great releases
LP Giobbi has been dropping singles, presumably there is an album in the works somewhere, but until then listen to her new track Sinner.
Oliver Sim from the xx has put out a couple solo singles, Romance with a Memory is pretty good.
Speaking of which, Jamie xx also released a new single, LET'S DO IT AGAIN which is fun but hasn't snagged my attention yet.
My SoundCloud Weekly playlist has been better than Spotify's Discover Weekly lately, and (re?) introduced me to this track by TEED:
Overmono has an EP out, Cash Romantic, and every track is good I recommend.
Local talent wufu has a new track out as well, peep RUNIT on SoundCloud.

Shazamming while Dancing
Breakbot at 1015 Folsom was a great adventure, with a bomb opening set from 3kelves, fun tracks from Manics, and of course the set from Breakbot & Irfane closing things out. It's been a French House kinda month.
