See Moir Music: March 2025
Quick recap
It turns out that having a hip injury that is bad enough that I'm getting surgery at the end of this month makes it difficult to make it to shows, so I ended up skipping all three of my planned shows for February.
- Friday, February 7 β NOTION at 1015 Folsom
- Saturday, February 15 β Hessle Audio at Great Northern
- Friday, February 28 β 1tbsp + DJ Python at the Great Northern for SQUISH x Goldenvoice
I'll keep this newsletter going while I recover, though, because I need y'all to go to things instead of me! If you have any post-surgery recovery pro tips, I'd love to hear them π
What's next for me?
I'll do my best to make it out to Laurence Guy at Monarch on Saturday, March 22. If anyone wants my ticket to see Loods at Monarch on Saturday, March 8, let me know!

Other notes
Last weekend was the free Measure of Music conference, all about music data. As someone who loves working with data and also loves music, it's really fun to poke my head into the convergence of those worlds for a weekend and pretend that I know anything about the industry and how it works. I appreciated the sessions Playing With Pop: Exploring Data's Role Across Entertainment and Revisiting the Future: A Keynote Conversation on Music & Tech with Cherie Hu, and especially Beverly Shih's Intro to Music Data Management, Analysis & Visualization. It's always interesting to learn about new tools and also discover which tools and processes are predominant in various industries.
