See Moir Music: June 2025

Quick recap

I'm almost back to walking completely unassisted, so that's the latest news for me!

What's next for me?

Walking longer distances unassisted πŸ˜‚ Still counting my steps, so any shows that aren't sitting are definitely not an option.

Other shows going on

What I'm not going to, but might if I had unlimited energy... bold shows are ones that I highly recommend...

Music lately

You can always follow me on bandcamp to see what I've bought lately…

Shoutout to ARTE for posting full sets from some of the greatest performers I've ever seen live:

  • Caribou - ZΓ©nith Paris - La Villette
  • Jamie xx - Adidas Arena, Paris

Some favorites of my recent bandcamp purchases:

  • Do It For Yourself - Gilligan Moss
  • Y U QT x Bullet Tooth - Technique ft. FlyDat
  • BeyoncΓ© - Sweet Dreams (Debba's Spring Bloomer Edit)
  • Bushbaby - Take No Chat EP
  • takemyhand - kasp
  • she can | La La | ATW Records
  • Staring Into The Sun | DJ HEARTSTRING
  • Are U The One - SWIM

Also have been having a lot of fun with the tracks on Volume 11 | Now That's What I Call Bootlegs, especially:

  • 31. Too $hort - Blow the Whistle (black panda x seanathan remix)
  • Artemas - i like the way you kiss me (Oliver Heldens Remix)
  • sparkle - sail away (enya edit)

Aside from all that, I'm waiting for HAAi's new album HUMANiSE to drop, and for Interplanetary Criminal's track Slow Burner to make its way to Bandcamp.

Other notes

Festival lineups! Portola is starting to feel like an every other year festival for me based on how the lineups have shaken out. Outside Lands feels like they built up a very solid lineup after the uneven/randomness of last year.

We'll see if I end up trying to go to Portola this year β€” I'm very excited that Villager and SHEE are making it here, and would LOVE to see the Rapture again (I went to the inaugural year of Just Like Heaven down in Long Beach because of them) but not feeling super enthused about the rest of the lineup.

It's not because the lineup is weak, but because it's tired! I read through the list and was like, wait, all of these artists have been here recently β€” so I did a quick count and well, more than 45 of the artists have been here in 2023 or since β€” or are coming here between now and September.

I know that artists have been struggling to get visas with the current US government policies, so maybe Goldenvoice focused more on US artists? Who knows. Either way, I'll make a YOLO choice in September I think!

I'll definitely be crossing my fingers for some cheap Sunday tickets, an afterparty with the Rapture, and/or a preparty with Villager.
