102. Adventures in Boston
Next stop Boston with more chance meetings and music
As I was landing in Boston I was listening to Pale Saints’ lovely 1994 cover (oh, the soft harmonizing!) of Slapp Happy’s Blue Flower originally from 1972. Maybe pop the Pale Saints version on while you read on.
Like Episode 101, this one is a more like a travel blog, mostly for me to remember what was seen and done. This one also has a fair few images so you may want to click ‘load images’ (or equivalent).

Flying domestic across the US this time, I’ve noticed that considerably more people seem to close their window shade almost immediately on takeoff. This feels like a new-ish, post-pandemic behavior, one I’ve not really observed on domestic Australian flights - perhaps another instance of enchantment being sucked from the world, a sense that travel is not a luxury or pleasure, just a chore, where “hell is other people”. Anyways, there are more important things to be worried about right now.
