Already spring has brought us rain and sunshine and as the mud turns to dust, the Taurus’ hooves kick up a dust cloud of ambition to announce its arrival.
Thank you once again to everyone who tuned in to our Taurus Season stream with Sable Radio last month.
The lineup was a testament to Taurean excellence. Though diverse in styles and mediums, the performances reflected the wilful artistry that we expect from the anchor of the zodiac. For those of you who missed it, we will let you know when it's archived for your viewing pleasure.
This season we have been graced with the presence of producer, DJ and “interdisciplinary bitch”, 8ULENTINA. Off the back of closing the doors on Club Chai and ahead of releasing a new EP this summer, 8ULENTINA takes us on a wild ride as they provide their signature steadfast command of the decks. A bevy of transatlantic rhythms meets the breakneck Middle Eastern percussion of their own edits. With this mix, 8ULENTINA has served us up a nourishing 42 minutes, sure to satisfy even the hungriest Taurus.

Fairly or unfairly, our bullish friend the Taurus is often described as stubborn. Scrolling through one of the ‘famous [star sign]’ pages (i.e. 75% of my research for these newsletters), I found myself agreeing - these bulls are relentless! A couple of prime examples from the UK: the Queen won’t stop leeching and Tony Blair still hasn’t been tried for war crimes. But don’t let them put you off our bovine friends. The likes of Janet Jackson and Cher have stacks of timeless hits over several decades.
As a wrestling fan, I can’t help but think how this applies to the 2 Tauruses that happen to be the biggest names in its recent history. The Rock manages to defy biology and time by getting hencher every day, even as he approaches 50. Whereas John Cena has managed to become one of the most decorated wrestlers of all time, despite being imperceptible to the human eye.
Another typical Taurus trait is being calm under pressure and while I made a small effort to find a good example of this, once I remembered that time Olly Murs had a wobble in Selfridges after a car backfired and I just had to include that instead.
In the interest of bringing this newsletter to an end, let us admire the strength and consistency that Taurus provide and share, but let us not expect them to carry the world's problems on their (metaphorically) broad shoulders, because they too can get spooked by a loud noise.

My heart aches in solidarity with the people of Palestine as their brutal oppression at the hands of the Israeli government continues. You can find links to UK demonstrations, petitions and online actions you can take here.
Until next time,
