Hello Europe, It’s Been a While!
It’s been a few years since I’ve set foot in Europe and boy did I miss it! Opportunity came in the form of a conference earlier this month where I was invited to present on behalf of my project at work.
Herewith the story of my week in Germany and points east:
Europe Part 1: Seattle to Bratislava: I'm headed to Berlin this week for the 2024 European Identity Conference. I left a couple days early so I could go exploring a bit.
Europe Part 2: Slovak and Czech Countryside: Today I drove from Bratislava to Warsaw. I took a detour through some of the mountainous regions on the Slovak/Czech border and was rewarded with some excellent scenery.
Europe Part 3: Polish Countryside and Berlin: On Day 3 of this trip, it was time to head to Berlin. I slept in a bit, which left only a little time for exploring along the way.
Europe Part 4: Around Berlin and the Conference!: My main reason for being in Berlin was to present on the work of the Content Authenticity Initiative to my fellow digital identity professionals. My slot was on Wednesday after the lunch break.
For the geeky among you, here's a write-up of my time at the conference from over on my dev blog:
European Identity Conference 2024: My running commentary on the conference as it transpired.
