From The Link: A Comic about My Research
Reposting a comic I made for The Link about my research
In my research, I look at ways that communication by scientists can help more people feel they belong in scientific discussions (e.g., AI, climate change, pandemics). My job expects me to publish in peer-reviewed journals, but these often don’t reach the people I most want to be in conversation with.
In collaboration with the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science’s The Link, I made a comic about some of my research about science communication fellowship programs last year. I’m so grateful for their work connecting science communication research with practice. I hope it means I get to be more in conversation with folx working to change the culture of science.
