The Hearings are Here
The Sheffield Local Plan Hearings begin at 10am today at Sheffield Town Hall.
Day 1 will focus on the overall strategy and the approach to site selection. The hearing is split into two sessions: a morning session and an afternoon session beginning at 2pm.
Today, two members of our Working Group will be there, alongside James Bailey Planning Ltd and a barrister, who will speak for S13

We’ll share an update by email tonight (Monday) with a summary of Day 1.
This stage of the hearings runs until 17 October, then pauses before concluding on 21 November.
Remembering Our Founder, Sapphire McCarthy
We were deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our friend and campaigner, Sapphire McCarthy.
Sapphire was the inspiration behind, and founder of, the Save S13 Green Belt campaign.
Her energy, vision and commitment brought people together and continue to guide us.
Actor Sean Bean has paid a heartfelt tribute to Sapphire, which you can read in The Star:
