No. 3: Entering a new season 🍁

Hello, everyone!

The past few weeks have been full of ✨unexpectedness✨, as life sometimes is. My public Roam project has been plodding along at a very slow, very daily pace. I’m coming to accept that anything I truly do daily is going to appear to the naked eye to be snail-like in its progress.

But I do have a few updates that might be relevant to your interests.

We at &yet have declared now thru mid-December to be the season of the weirdo

  • We started with a declaration (and an offer)
  • We continued with a curio cabinet that we will be filling with new curiosities every week

—

I finished chapter 1 of People-First Growth

  • My progress has been so slow, it’s almost embarrassing; but it’s progress!
  • You might want to start at the beginning
  • And then read chapter 1

—

I participated in David Whyte’s Half a Shade Braver series

  • It was delightful
  • Here are my notes
  • He is doing a series in November on The Invitational Identity, and I signed up immediately

Here’s what’s next

  • I’m still thinking about how to make my public Roam project more in the vein of “networked thought” than it is currently. My intention for the project is that it becomes a way to connect with CEOs and growth-oriented leaders at people-first companies, and so I’ve been hesitant to update it with things that are not particularly relevant to those topics. (Although I have gone on several side rambles. I apparently can’t help myself.) I have a hunch, though, that my side rambles are not only relevant, but central to how I think creatively about how to approach growth in a people-first way. Maybe by not including the whole picture of the things I’m exploring, I’m limiting what is possible there. But I do want to put constraints on myself so it stays focused and doesn’t become overwhelming. I don’t know.

  • I’m intending to do some more Q&A videos to add to my Working Principles. If you have questions for me, ask me anything.

That’s it for this week! Thanks for being here.
