Weeknotes: 6 April to 10 April 2026

Valuing what each team member brings, having content for paid talks, cultural events, complementary skills and team communication, vibrant spaces, live coding matters, systems and being an early adopter

What I have found gripping

  • Within a team/a group each person brings valuable information, skills and/or experiences

  • Having enough content for a new talk and a list of further resources

  • There is such a thing as a cultural event without unpaid volunteers thanks to a solid business model and a large community of supporters

  • Collaborative work is highly dependent on the environment we co-create and having complementary skills in addition to communicating

  • Spaces where it is a norm to ask questions and/or ask for help remain vibrant

  • Going over events and thinking about which I could attend

  • Live coding is a skill to hone through deliberate practice and in real conditions to gather feedback

  • Showing skills is better than telling folks about them provided one is in an environment where they are valued

  • Diversifying one’s readings leads to new insights

  • Looking at systems is fascinating

  • Being an early adopter of new services and/or products may sometimes mean documenting, providing feedback and teaching folks about them
