Well hello there. I finally finished exporting and importing my information from substack to buttondown. AND you didn't have to do anything! Although perhaps this might end up in your spam folder? shrug idk
New job has been keeping me busy, and tired. I don't understand how people work 40hrs a week, commute to and from work, and have time for ... anything really. I would like a house spouse, please.
For the most part, things are good, broken hearts aside. I'm trying to keep busy (arts and crafts! TTRPGS! reading!) to keep my mind distracted and not mope or cry. Not having someone to talk to about work, or even just the random "i love yous" throughout the day. But I have to remind myself that communication was not our strong suit, and it's what ultimately ended things.
Still miss them tho.
Thankfully, i am an extraordinary machine.

The opening paragraph:
Beginning is the hardest step. The first words open a space. Like the first glance of the girl I am about to fall in love with -- a life is decided by the hint of a smile. I long hesitated before starting to write. Long walks in the woods behind the house, here in Canada. Still not sure where I am going.
