Don't Stop Believing

Neuroses.jpg

My problem is that I get distracted. I start to read something and then get excited over a mentioned book and then search that out and forget about the original thing I was reading.

I am interested in too many things.

I mean, being a polymath is great, but there’s just so much out there! And I don’t get paid to do anything with my reading. (Although, that’s what this is supposed to be one day. A fun little newsletter that people pay for or something that leads to something where I can write a fun little newsletter about fun things I find fun.)

But being a polymath and distracted sucks when I’m also supposed to be working on my senior project for my master’s degree (which btw, I am crying over. because I didn’t save things that I should have saved and now I don’t have any “proof” that I fulfill a competency.)

Also, I kinda hate my job.

But anyways.

Finished Reading: The Lightning Thief

Better than Harry Potter. And to my knowledge, Rick Riordan isn’t problematic like JK is. Well, by “better than HP” I mean, it kept my attention and took place in nyc/nj. Although, I do want to know what forest is right off the lincoln tunnel? If you took the bridge, i’d at least give you the Palisades Parkway, but not down in Weehawken.

Currently Reading: 39 Steps

I’m not very far into it. And I haven’t seen the movie so I don’t know what I’m in for, but I am quite curious. We didn’t need to read/watch this one for my noir class way back when. I also can’t exactly tell *how* racist it is yet, but I feel like it will be very much so. Blah blah blah time period bullshit.

Currently Watching: Campagin 3 of Critical Role

Why? Because I fell in love with Sam and Travis and their roleplaying in Calamity. And while I prefer Brennan over Matt, I can at least appreciate the story. My one complaint is that with MM, I *know* I’m watching a D&D game being played. As opposed to being immersed in a story. I’m only on episode 19 so I’m behind, so maybe I’ll catch up to whatever just happened where people were angry that someone died/was killed off.
