Some art in auctions: SoEx and Best Practice

More T-Shirt Ideas

Hi friends,

It’s an extremely tough time for arts and culture nonprofits (see canceled grants, frozen funding, the rising cost of everything).

I’ve donated two pieces to two spaces that mean a lot to me, one in SF and one in San Diego, which you can bid on no matter where you live.

First up is the Southern Exposure auction:
Friday, April 18, 6–9 p.m.
3030 20th St, San Francisco
Buy tickets and bid online!

square black-and-white painting of radiating curved lines like ripple
Pickle Ripple, 2022; Flashe on panel, 16 × 16 inches.

Snag Pickle Ripple for the young eyes in your life (high contrast = baby LSD), or for self-hypnosis.

And coming up soon is the Best Practice auction:
Online bidding starts April 22
In-person event is April 26, 5–8 p.m.
1955 Julian Ave, San Diego

brown line painting on white paper of a concrete block with impossible perspective
Impossible Breeze Block, 2022; Acryla gouache on paper, 15.5 × 11.5 inches (framed).

This one’s for fans of optical illusions, breezy architecture and good old concrete blocks.

Please support the beloved arts orgs in your life!
