On writing (more?) in 2026

A canal with two swans in the water. A canopy of trees over the canal. Bicycles parked by the canal railing. A historic church can be seen in the background.
Delft, December 2025.

It’s been a while! Of course, the minute I migrated to Buttondown I got sidetracked by something else. What was that something else? I don’t quite know. The other day I was trying to think of what I’ve done this year, and quite honestly, I couldn’t think of very much. It’s been a blur of grief and sadness and books and writing and work and some travel (to write, visit the family and friends/eat halwa puri everyday.)

But I think, going forward, I will be writing - or trying to write — everyday. I’m probably going to end up treating this like a blog/twitter feed of old, so this will be 1) random thoughts 2) random links 3) random rants. Things that can’t fit in an Instagram story. Things I’d like to save for posterity so that I’m not copypasting the same romance book recommendation list from chat to chat. Thoughts that never become pitches. There will be an abundance of commas and em-dashes.

Anyway. Onwards!
