Gelukkig nieuw jaar, allemaal!

Discovered that a scene in the manuscript that I have written and rewritten and can visualise perfectly was missing. So the following five scenes made no sense. How? Where is the scene!? Why would I take it out?! Where are the Slims? Where is my Claire Keegan book?!

Found scene in the wrong place. Thank you, Scrivener. Reminder to self to not edit in the throes of a headache. (Which happened because I bonked my head against the open dryer door. I am literally a cartoon.)

Realised that I wrote this manuscript so many times I could put the discarded bits together as a whole different novel. (Bad idea. Abort.)

I never want to see reels about hidden gems. Please make it stop,

Bought a pair of trousers online (why), which fit (!) but also weren’t what I thought they’d look like based on the photo/description (sucker) but actually look similar to trousers I used to have years ago and are no longer available. I did wonder if the pants would have looked good with the billowy shirt (RIP). We’ll never know.

Even though I work from home, I am completely disoriented by Christmas and now New Year’s being in the middle of the week. Is it Sunday? Is it Wednesday? Who knows.

I am late with the edits. Perfect.
