Word of Mouth

Intersectionality (noun)

Cambridge Dictionary defines it as "the way in which different types of discrimination are linked to and affect each other."

Intersectionality acknowledges that everyone has their own unique experiences of discrimination and oppression and we must consider everything and anything that can marginalize people – gender, race, class, sexual orientation, physical ability, etc.

Iterate: Ten Lessons in Design and Failure by J. Sharp and C. Macklin

Growing up, I feared failure. No one would talk about it. It wasn’t something to be proud of, it was actually something you avoided at all costs. None of this felt right, and it took a great toll on my body and mind. But worry not, for I found ways that taught me to embrace failure and learn to fail β€œwith purpose.” I no longer panic at the thought of maybe failing. If this was/is you then this book is for you.

Dice & Games

Trigger warning: death, loss, grief. Remember that your wellbeing is the most important thing.

The game we’re sharing this week is called Spiritfarer, a cozy game about dying. In this game, as the Spiritfarer, you become the ferry master to the deceased and navigate the seas, exploring an incredible world. Your goal is to look for and befriend lost spirits. By caring for them, you will guide them to the afterlife.

Curated with love by Rose Cortijo, The BEO.
