So I needed an extra week to get back to myself and this bulletin.
It's been a challenging time, but I'm glad we're here.
I hope this bulletin is everything you need it to be today. ✨

accountability (noun) /əˌkaʊn.t̬əˈbɪl.ə.t̬i/
If you take responsibility for your own actions, you show accountability. Stepping up and admitting it when you break something shows accountability.
Accountability is a noun that describes accepting responsibility, and it can be personal or public. A government has accountability for decisions affecting its citizens; an individual has accountability for acts and behaviors. Sometimes, though, taking accountability means admitting you made a mistake.

“I remember that feeling of real responsibility, of really having a role in the community, that made me very proud.” - Lisa Jackson
Folks in public service are the key ingredient in determining how well government serves its citizens. In this story, Lisa tells her story as a civil servant and chemical engineer.
Listen, reflect, and answer: how do you serve your community?
• "Bears Countdown is the most beautiful way to countdown to birthdays, anniversaries, vacations and even work deadlines!" - App Store
For the longest time, my Facebook birthday calendar has helped me keep track of special dates. The amount of ads today, however, has me rethinking things. So I'm happy to share a beary cute alternative with you all. I feel we all need a little bear propaganda, right?
• "Nearly five minutes in, the song quickens as Kiwanuka reflects on past mistakes with the hope of reconciliation. The singer scorns his own pride: “Maybe this time I can be strong,” Kiwanuka ponders, “but since I know who I am, I’m probably wrong.” “Cold Little Heart” shows us the beauty in atonement, the silver lining in the struggle." - Pitchfork
Kiwanuka's music makes my heart ache as much as swell. If you're looking to be moved, this is it! Listen to "Cold Little Heart" here.
"Machinarium begins and ends without a single word being spoken but is able to elicit feelings of amusement and tenderness for its peculiar cast. Its puzzles are logical enough that they’re never cheap or frustrating, but challenging and varied enough that they’re rewarding. A charming and brilliantly designed point and click adventure; if anything, it’s over too soon." - IGN
This little game is a gem you will not want to miss out on!

There’s very little I can do when my mind is wrapped up in all the chaos happening around me.
The past three weeks have been tricky to navigate. Folks I hold dear have been of tremendous support when my levels of overwhelm tip me over the edge. They remind me to pause and take the space and time I need to mourn over the things I can’t change and ground myself in the things I can control.
Sometimes a friendly reminder is all we need to care for ourselves. To mend our hurt and process whatever loss we feel.
Wherever you’re reading this from, please remember to practice holding space for yourself. We sometimes hold space for others and forget that we also need just as much care and love as we put out there.
Unclench your jaw, drink some water, and take a deep breath. You are doing your best and I’m rooting for you! 🎉
