Saturday's snow was quickly washed away by the rain in Southampton, so I'm quite jealous of anyone who has made a snowman this year. Hope you enjoyed your weekend. Here's what's been catching my eye.

I bought some ?_? look of disapproval glasses from Etsy.

They took a while to cross the atlantic, but I'm delighted with them.

FYI, if that ? symbol doesn't show up nicely for you, I fixed it on my Mac by installing this font

In case you missed this on Friday: a rap battle between Blizzard (a student) and a teacher (that's a teacher, not his teacher), Mark Grist.

When you tie your shoes, are you using the strong form or the weak form of the knot? (And I don't mean a double-knot, I mean making a square knot rather than a granny knot). Terry Moore, on stage at TED 2005, will teach you.

The new Reuters 'social pulse' page could be interesting. It's currently pretty awful. (50 CEOs with the highest Klout scores. Sigh.) Who knows, maybe it will get better though.

Marketing corner *

Have you seen the 'success kid' online? (background on the meme: http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/i-hate-sandcastles-success-kid, lots more examples: http://www.quickmeme.com/Success-Kid/). The image has been available through Getty for some time (http://www.gettyimages.co.uk/detail/photo/little-boy-at-the-beach-eating-sand-royalty-free-image/113865065, a snip at 300 for the high res version), which allowed them to do this poster.

Woody Harrelson('s people), invites Reddit to AMA ('ask me anything'). Woefully misunderstanding the concept of 'anything', he focused a little too much on his new movie.

Typical comment (www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/p9a1v/im_woody_harrelson_ama/c3nlrtj) "Please inform the rest of Hollywood that Reddit is not a publicity outlet and that Redditors don't tolerate this kind of crap."
Or, if you prefer, it was dissected by the New York Observer here

'What Britain Loves' is the first T-Mobile ad from Saatchi & Saatchi that I don't actively hate.
