127: Wood special

Hello.

In celebration of our new log burning stove being installed this week (not by me, I hasten to add. By professionals who know how to do these things properly) I bring you a special wood cutting and splitting edition of Roo's Letter.

Ever since ordering the new stove I've been excitedly preparing firewood and seasoning it in my log shed (which I did make, by the simple expedient of tearing an existing shed in half). Cutting and splitting wood by hand is pleasurably simple, but sometimes I wish I was a rugged lumberjack with access to some of these machines.
