Summer Break, Procrastination & Saying No
After four busy months, I’m back with updates on mediation, Dankbar, a new Alignment Score test, fresh blog posts, and monthly favorites.
Hey friends 👋
I only just realized it's been a full 4 months since I last wrote a newsletter. To put it mildly, a lot has happened since then and my life has never been more busy. In mid-February, we started our house construction and since then had countless of appointments and what not. It's a dream come true, but also a ton of work and I didn't really get to create as much in that time.
However, I'm back and I have a couple of nice updates to share:
First of all, I finished my training and am now officially a mediator helping people and teams in conflict through the process of mediation.
Also, my gratitude journal app Dankbar came a long way: calendar view, tags, people tagging, photo uploads, multiple reminders and soon also weekly and monthly recaps!
Feel free to check it out and if you're interested in the Pro version (one-time purchase), I can give you a discount code. Simply reply to this email and ask.
📊 New Test: Alignment Score
Figure out where you're misaligned in just 10 minutes. Gives you a nice chart and some insights for each area. No Email required. 100% free.
✍️ Blog Post: Why You Keep Postponing Easy Tasks
A blog post about procrastination, the 3 types of friction and how to break free with a simple 2-minute diagnosis.
✍️ Blog Post: The Importance of Saying No
And another blog post exploring why it's so hard (for some of us) to say no and why it's so important to do it anyways. Hopefully helps you reframe saying no as something negative.
Reflections & Insights
I don't really have any big insights at this time. The only reflection on my end is that I terribly underestimated the amount of work when it comes to building the house, even though it's been mostly coordinating different crafts and doing smaller tasks ourselves.
Monthly Favorites
🎶 Song: Moby – When It's Cold I'd Like To Die
Stranger Things got me to this jewel. It might sound a bit depressing, but to me is also brings a sense of freedom whenever I hear it.
📚 Book: James Islington – The Shadow of What Was Lost
Since I really liked his new series, I wanted to give this one a try and voilà, I was not disappointed again!

Monthly Journaling Prompt
Who is/was there for me all the time?
Nothing deep this time, but just think about who's been there for you lately. Maybe a good friend of family member who helped you in tough times or just made your life a little bit more happy.
Reach out to them today and just say thank you, that's it!
Thanks for checking in—see you next month!
Best,
Robin
