Advent of Growth, Your Future Self & What GPT Knows About You

Announcing my advent of growth, a 3-step system to design your future self, 27 new glossary entries, an AI-privacy reflection plus this month’s favorites and a journaling prompt.

Hey friends 👋

First of all, you might have noticed a delay once again. I've been sick (good ol' COVID-19) for almost 3 weeks now (and still counting). That's the reason both my latest video and this issue are running a bit late. Hope you all had a better October!

Anyways. Despite the sickness, I was able to publish quite a bunch of new content last month:

🎥 YouTube Video: Design Your Future Self in 3 Steps
In this video, I share a simple 3-step system on how to turn your future dreams into a step-by-step roadmap you can start tackling today.

📖 Glossary: 27 New Glossary Topics
The biggest batch so far, landing at a total of 59 topics covered already!

Reflections & Insights

Advent of Growth

Let's start with a big announcement: This year, I will host an advent of growth!

That's 24 days of daily videos with interesting exercises, challenges, journaling prompts and insights—all aiming to help you reflect, grow and get ready for 2026!

Stay tuned for further information and make sure to check my YouTube channel starting from 1st of December! I will also share a weekly summary via this newsletter.

What does GPT know about you?

Earlier this month, we had a friend over for dinner and at some point we started talking about AI tools and privacy. The question was: How much does ChatGPT actually know about us?

Long story short, we turned it into a game where we'd come up with questions and then ask GPT to answer them based on everything it knows about us.
As expected, the answers were kind of a mixed bag—sometimes it'd straight out nail it and then get terribly far off on the next one.

That got me thinking: What do we actually share with GPT and what does that tell us about ourselves, our struggles and/or our desires?

Often times, these seemingly brilliant chatbots simply are a mirror to your own thoughts. Asking these kind of questions can be both fun and insightful. So, whenever you have your next game night, maybe try it out as well.

Monthly Favourites

🎶 Song: Johnny Flynn - Song with no Name
Well, another Johnny Flynn song this month. Just can't get enough of it.

📚 Book: Eliezer Yudkowsky - If Anyone Builds It, Everyone Dies
To be honest, this was the only book I read this month, but it's an interesting read nevertheless. Not sure I agree with every aspect, but definitely a worthwhile critique on current AI practices.

📽️ Video: The Voting System That Actually Represents Everyone
Never really thought about this too much, but it's quite an interesting video—especially given the current political situation in many parts of the world.

Monthly Journaling Prompt

What do I wish I could do more quickly?

Whether it's in order to get over with it more quickly or to be able to do more of it doesn't really matter. Additionally, also consider also exploring the opposite: What do I wish I could do more slowly?

If you don't mind sharing, I'd love to hear yours!
Just hit 'reply' and I'll get back to you as fast as possible.

Thanks for checking in—see you next month!

Best,
Robin
