Valley of the moon
Happy new year, my favourite people.
My name is Robi Mitch and today I'm here to tell you about a project I've been working on since before Lockdown 1.
Valley of the moon is an outlet for introspective and existential folk songs with quirky beats and weird vocal fx,
Which are the kind of songs I write in winter, and in lockdown, and when my head gets all fuzzy and confused.
I'm putting out an album of these songs in March of this year, and TODAY marks the release of track #1.
"Hello darkness" features my friend Luca Macchi, and comes with a beautiful animated lyric video by Gabriela Bran.
The track "has a warm, melancholic restraint, which cumulates in a crescendo of spoken poetry (in Italian, of course) and a cacophony of mournful trumpets."
