🌑 july new moon - work, abundance, and the art in-between
neighbor-ing, friend-ing, villager-ing
the format of these new moon card readings and reflections are based on a simple 3-card spread from my CHANI planner. you can expect my own brief reflections, updates on what I'll be up to between this new moon and the next, and an invitation to share back anything that resonated with you.
I know it’s already almost the full moon, but it felt important to put some words to (digital) paper anyway as there was tons of new moon happenings to reflect on. It’s been a full, fast-moving past couple weeks! Thanks to everyone who sent cooling energy during the heat wave, who petitioned their local trees and streams on my behalf in our search for a new home, who met me with patience as I adjusted my pacing to navigate this liminal time between apartments, and who shared any bit of time/energy/resources to support our search—tangibly and intangibly. More specific details soon for the upcoming full moon!

Resilience Toolkit practice group | sign up
weekly on Thursdays @ 8am ET / 1pm GMT / 2pm CETSpots open for CC Solo 3-part Resilience Toolkit Intro
It’s been awhile since the last PWYC CC Resilience Toolkit Intro I hosted back in February. It may still be awhile before I can host another.
In the meantime, I have some availability for more flexible sliding scale 1:1 series.
August availability: 3-part Resilience Toolkit Intro for orgs / private groups
Do you have a group of folks who want to learn the Resilience Toolkit? If you already know times that everyone can show up, I can work with your capacity and desired session frequency to host a private intro series for your work team, your community garden pals, your D&D group, your family—whomever!
Accepting contract work for admin / newsletter / systems transition needs
in addition to my own newsletter, I maintain the regular newsletter for my family’s bi-annual reunion, along with similar services other more formal clients ☺️ If you’ve been wanting to get away from MailChimp, ConstantContact, Gmail, etc. for your newsletter—or just want support with a new/established one, I can send over a quote for what a project / ongoing support for that looks like.

♋🌑 july new moon card pulls and reflections
🍭 3 of Disks - Work
Arcana Iris Sacra by Tina Gong
card summary: “achievement at work. concentrated effort. ambition. work-life imbalance. I see the gifts that others bring to help me, and I honor them.”
I knooooooowwww I’ve been playing with fire at both ends of the proverbial candle. Tch-tch! Stop that! Overtime should be the exception, not the rule, and a rare exception at that! I already know how to overwork myself. I will plant experiences in my body of seeing the fruits of my hard labor and resting before I hit the reserve tank. How fortunate that it’s a season of the fruits coming in so sweetly!
🌾🐿️ Art - 14
Arcana Iris Sacra by Tina Gong
card summary: “alchemy. fusion. to combine and create. I direct my energy and resources to find balance.”
I’ve been running the necessary experiments within my craft while also running on fumes. I’ve also had periods of deeper rest that were sometimes difficult to bask in for worry of not being able to get everything done. What were the results? What shifts will I be making based on what I’ve learned? I have plenty of fertile soil and hardy seeds of wisdom going into the next round of exploration prepared to practice in a more balanced way.
🌾🐿️ 3 of Cups - Abundance
Arcana Iris Sacra by Tina Gong
card summary: “happiness in groups. joyful social life. sharing happiness with friends. pleasure. I am blessed with a loving community.”
Accept the help. Allow myself to be nourished, fed, taken care of by my friends. While it’s not always an easy thing to do, I know accepting help is a larger practice within neighbor-ing/villager-ing. I can grieve/rage/scream with myself about it if needed, but accept the help. It’s not about actions of equal transaction, but of practicing being a node in equitable networks of ongoing collective response. Accept the help not just because it positions you to help others when they need it, but because I also deserve help.
🎴🎴🎴 Taking in the spread as a whole
My work is working. As things stabilize, I won’t forget to let my play be play-ing. I celebrate the space and places my friends are making for me and I will bask! I will enjoy! We will frolic together! I’ve been a bit skittish and slow to warm in the past when it comes to friend-ing, and maybe I’ve been letting my workload be an enabling factor when it comes to procrastinating on practicing the vulnerability needed to deepen friendships—especially since so much of my work is happening in communities where I also have friends. But, practicing balance also means being able to recognize moments of safety and to rest and find pleasure in them if and while I can. There’s so much I stand to heal, receive, and contribute by allowing myself to join in on the fun and this moment is well-suited to do so!
Thanks for reading, wishing you moments of ritual, rest, and restoration.
