On Getting It Wrong

Wow, I messed up.
I don't know how many of you reread your stuff after you send it/publish it/post it/etc. I do. I find a lot of mistakes that way, and use the opportunity to make notes to myself on what to avoid in the future.
So yeah, I reread Sunday's email, and...
:smacks forehead:
Damn, I am so sorry, everyone.
I fell into one of those ignorant, self-centered mistakes: I made the world’s pain about me.
It Was A Simple Message
I know why my many neurodivergences turned that email into what it ended up as, and I know where I was coming from and aiming towards. But my intent is irrelevant. It was not okay of me.
The message was simple and I could have kept it simple.
I wanted to say “There are people who mostly care about how they look and how others look at them. Alternately, there are people who mostly care about how they feel and how others feel about themselves. If you’re feeling alone and helpless, I recommend you go find the latter, and celebrate them loudly.”
Three sentences. That’s all it needed. With a “thank you” at the end to my communities.
Again, I’m so sorry. Time to put “are you making something that isn’t yours about you?” back to the top of my list.
Bonus Puppy
Y’all get an extra puppy this month, since I messed up.
