Officially Spring in Risa-World

Hey there hi woof woof woof
Greetings from a very, very tired writer. My day job has finally switched into full hybrid mode, so this week was the first week I’ve gone in three times. My body does not like me anymore.
I mask the whole way up and all the time I’m inside the building. I eat my lunch outside, rain or shine. So far no one has given me trouble about it, but I’m the only person on my team who masks the whole time.
It’s lonely, trying to survive. But I will say, some of my co-workers mask when they meet with me in an enclosed space, and I always appreciate the effort.
That said, I’m so glad that this change has come during SPRING OMG SPRING HI SPRING - It means I have a lot of photos to share.
Writing News
I’m going to be in the inaugural edition of a great new market, Plott Hound Magazine! The cover is astonishingly amazing and I am so excited to be with these brilliant writers. The story is one I wrote in early 2023, and I hope you enjoy meeting this beastie I adore so much.
Aside from publications, I’ve been struggling with my yearly submission and rejections goals, so instead of trying to hit a target number, I plan to ensure my submissions each month exceed my rejections. But that means I’m two submissions behind this month, argh! I need to choose some stuff to send out.
A Bit of Bloomscroll
These are all photos from what we in the US call “The Northeast Corridor,” the coastal line between Washington D.C. and Boston.

I love lilacs. Have I mentioned I love lilacs? They’re the oddest and yet most beautiful trees. Not only for their flowers, but also their heart-shaped leaves.

Tulips are not my absolute favorite, but they’re so bright and cheery I always find myself taking tons of photos of them:

And irises. Don’t get me started on irises. For the longest time, my #1 fave.

If you like this kind of thing, I’ve built a page of flower photos on my website and will be adding to the page over the next few days.
:Hopeful voice: And?
Yes! Here's a very suspicious puppy, concerned about her brother’s antics.

With love and weirdness,
