Want to make better websites?
I’ve launched my TapTapKaboom community. It’s where I’m gathering a bunch of people who want to learn to make better websites.
Hello! And boy, do I have news.
I’ve launched my TapTapKaboom community.
It’s where I’m gathering a bunch of people who want to learn to make better websites—from their first website onwards.
Why do I think this is a good idea?
I’ve been making websites for 18 years.
And people still need websites—especially good websites.
But the landscape is littered with an overwhelming amount of information that leads to procrastination and confusion.
How you get better at making websites (or anything really) is not with information only. It’s with these 4 things:
By learning step-by-step. Consume only the information you need next. Learn on a need-to-know basis.
By practicing often. Make real websites. This cements what you’ve learned and reveals what you still need to learn.
By learning with others. Learning in a community lets you see others' creations, ask questions, and get feedback. It’s inspiring and motivating.
By getting yourself a mentor. A mentor/guide tells you what you need to know and, more importantly, leaves out what you don’t need to know. They set interesting challenges, and teach you how to fish (metaphorically speaking of course).
Those 4 points above are what the TapTapKaboom community is going to be about.
I don’t want to invite you to this community when I’m ready and everything is perfect.
I want to help you make better websites NOW.
And I want you to help me shape it.
What do you get out of it?
A very discounted membership fee (for life). The monthly fee will increase as more content is added, and as more people join. It’s currently only $9/month.
Unrestricted access to me. I’ll jump on calls with you. I’ll help you debug. I’ll answer your questions. I’ll review your designs and code.
Content tailored to your needs. The courses I make, and the topics I discuss in live calls, will be tailored to YOUR needs.
You’ll be an OG. That means free stickers and merch—at least. And it means you get to shape this community.
You’ll get better at making websites. Like, really fast.
What do I get out of it?
I learn how to my community better better.
I learn what’s important and valuable.
I learn how to better package and communicate what I’m offering.
I get a modest membership fee every month. I charge $175/hour for consulting and coaching, so $9/month is a straight-up deal.
Do you want to make better websites?
Do you want to be a founding member (fun video) of the TapTapKaboom community?
Big loves and hugs
