TapTapKaboom Is in Motion
Hey 👋 I’ve returned to the life of creating and class making. I’m in motion! Things are getting done. YouTube videos are being published! Vlogs are being made! Classes are being filmed. It is possible to get stuff done in roughly 4 hours per day. And there’s more coming! But sometimes I need to remind myself that I cannot do things like I was doing them before—when I didn’t have a very active and curious kid exploring the world. So I’m peppering my big ambitions with loads of grace, and enjoying all the precious moments I get to spend with my family. Because those moment are the truly important ones that I don’t want to miss.
So, what have I been up to (besides crawling around with my awesome baby girl)?
🖼 I’ve been posting on Patreon. Mainly exclusive vlogs at the moment, where I showcase productivity and creativity exercises, and talk through what’s going on behind the scenes in TapTapKaboom. I have 2 awesome Patrons (you guys rock) and $4 (minus fees) coming in every month because of them. This may seem tiny to you, but it’s the first few steps towards creating a community of people pursuing their dreams and goals, and being creative and productive. If you like what I do, and want to be part of it in a bigger and more community-centric way, come join us.
📹 I’ve created a few new YouTube tutorials. I think you’ll enjoy my most recent one all about one of Procreate’s new features: Page Assist. I think it’s going to make it suuuuper easy to maintain a daily sketchbook practice—on your iPad of course. Check it out.
📹 We’re in the process of editing our 33rd online class! It’s all about productivity basics. I cannot wait to get this into your hands.
✉️ This is my first email sent with Buttondown. I’m waaaay preferring it to Mailchimp. If you notice anything weird, please let me know!
✍️ Lastly, I’m facilitating a free ADPList workshop on Nov 12 that’s all about becoming a better creative. ADPList is a place where you can connect with mentors for free. This is the workshop description:
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll discover what you need to focus on to become a better creative. Whether you’re a designer, illustrator, coder, animator, or a multi-hyphenated unicorn, you’ll learn how to figure out what you need to get better at, and how to do it. Whether that’s developing your style, learning something new, combining different skill sets, or getting better at something, you’ll walk away with a framework of how to continually become a better creative. Bring a pen and some paper.
Okay. That’s it. Hit reply and tell me what you’re working on!
❤️ Big loves
