Hello again 👋

I’ve been stuck in another dimension for the past few months. It’s the book-writing, home-improving, baby-caring dimension. It’s been simple, intense, and awesome. Which means I haven’t had time to write to you. But I still love you and want to help and serve you.

So let me give you a whirlwind update of what’s been going on:

📕 I’ve written a book called The Perfect 100 Day Project. It’s coming out next year! I am pumped about it.

🤯 Since finishing writing, and illustrating, the book, I’ve had time for other things. And so much has been screaming for my attention. It’s like a dam has burst. And it overwhelmed me at first. But I’ve begun striking things off my todo list, and it’s felt really good. I’m beginning to make headway.

🏃‍♀️ I’ve published an additional lesson for my popular Procreate Animation class. It has over 20 thousand students (this blows my mind). The lesson is all about Procreate’s animation assist feature. It makes animating in Procreate a whole bunch easier and quicker. Find it on Skillshare (https://ttkb.me/animation-in-procreate) , and on TapTapKaboom School. (https://ttkb.me/procreate-animation)

📹 I’ve begun making YouTube videos (https://ttkb.me/youtube) (besides class introductions). This has been on my list for ever. It’s time. My first tutorial is out! Check it out. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHpYzTzQ-EU&ab_channel=TapTapKaboom) It’s about how to erase like a pro in Adobe Fresco.

💰 I’ve set up a Patreon page. (https://ttkb.me/patreon) This has also been on my list of things to do for ever. I first signed up for Patreon in 2016, but I’ve always felt I couldn’t possibly ask people for money unless I offered them something in return. Well, I’m offering you to be part of TapTapKaboom and what I do. I want to build a community. I want to help people create, be productive, and pursue their dreams and goals. But I’m totally new at Patreon. So I’ve done the bare minimum and will be morphing it into something I’m pumped about over time. Come join me there! (https://ttkb.me/patreon) And if you have tips and tricks and advice on how to use Patreon, I’d love to hear what you have to say!

⏳ I’m working on a productivity class. It’s all about the basics of being productive. I plan on releasing it in early November. I’m making it for me as much as I’m making it for you. The basics are always important, and I’ve been focusing on these principles over the past few weeks to get back into a working routine.

🙊 This may be the last newsletter I send from Mailchimp. It’s expensive and clunky. And Buttondown seems to be far easier to use. And cheaper, and focused on newsletters—not all kinds of other things. I’ll miss the branding, but not the UX.

What are you working on? What’s been happening with you?

❤️ Big loves – Rich from TapTapKaboom (https://www.taptapkaboom.com)
