** Change + Class Recommendations

You’re getting this email because you’re awesome. And because you signed up for it on taptapkaboom.com. You can unsubscribe (|UNSUB|) or share with others. (https://ttkb.me/blast) This week’s blast is all about change. Also, I have some class recommendations. So here goes!

Hey|IF:MMERGE1| |MMERGE1| |END:IF| 👋 I’m always changing things. Testing things. Experimenting. I genuinely think it’s healthy—especially for what we create and how we create. But I try things out in all areas of my life.

Change that I decide on is usually awesome! So, what have I changed recently? 1. I switched from ConvertKit back to Mailchimp to send my emails and have renamed this newsletter from “The TapTapKaboom Fanclub” to “The TapTapKaboom Blast”. I’d like to add even more value to this newsletter, so expect a few changes in the coming weeks.

  1. I started collaborating with other artists and designers—it’s been amazing. Have a look at these 3 (https://www.behance.net/gallery/88406575/Expressive-Abstraction-vs-Geometric-Precision) Bēhance (https://www.behance.net/gallery/92640637/Bunny-Doodle-Bomb) projects. (https://www.behance.net/gallery/92818241/Animals-and-Humans) I’ll chat more about collaboration in a future blast.

  2. I’ve tried drinking far less caffeinated coffee (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1LN7gLAtPo) , and found that it makes a massive difference to my energy levels.

  3. My vlog (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QU5tVHsZfok&list=PLTn1ZqjmhCdSHt2yNUPq-Zhil-RbkL7TB) is pure experiment! I’m enjoying it a lot 🤩

Have you ever kept a journal of what you’re working on, and how you’re working? And then made notes on what you’d like to change, with an idea of how it may affect your work? I do a lot of self-reflecting, and often write about how I’m feeling while working on a project, and what I could try change to make a difference.

Maybe writing while you create is worth experimenting with? Give it a try!

Now, class recommendations! 1. Tom Froese’s Odd Bodies class on Skillshare (https://skl.sh/2TvyuvZ) is mega rad if you want to have fun and get into illustration—especially illustrating people. I’m currently in the middle of this one.

  1. Sorelle Amore’s YouTube Success class on Skillshare (https://skl.sh/3cnRN35) is amazing. It’s all about creating a channel that’s worth following. It’s jammed with goodness! I’ve been taking loads of notes.

  2. There are a bunch of awesome classes (https://www.skillshare.com/lists/Classes-for-Your-First-Step/1274719?teacherRef=6102916) on taking your first steps on Skillshare. My 100 Day Project class is currently at the top of the list. These are all great classes to check out.

  3. I added a bonus lesson to my popular Digital Marbling class—I show you how to marble gold and glitter ✨ You can watch it on TapTapKaboom School (https://ttkb.me/digital-marbling) or Skillshare. (https://skl.sh/2GGHl9w)

That’s it for this week’s blast! You’re awesome.

P.S. 36 Days of Type 2020 edition (http://www.36daysoftype.com/2020-edition/) is here! It ends on April 6th, and the official #100DayProject starts on April 7th! Are you taking part in either one?
