New Years Resolution

My 2026 resolution is to think of myself as a musician with a day job, as opposed to being a programmer with a music hobby. That's not to say I'm quitting my day job! Just... trying to stress about work less. I stress about my productivity as a coder too much, and I even got a "strong" rating for my performance review for 2025, so that's a sign I'm doing fine on that front. So yes, more music and less job stress is a good goal.

Upcoming Performances

As for the music front, I'm doing fine too! I'm preparing for two concerts at once. Our band Otter Chaos! is playing at UI-Con 5:30pm Friday Jan 30th and at FurSquared 12pm Sunday Feb 8th. I've never done 2 con performances quite so back-to-back. I hope they go well! And I hope to see some of you there!

Mega Man tunes

I didn't make it to MAGFest this year, but I did visit the associated VRchat world. The con was Mega Man X themed this year so I learned a few tunes to celebrate. Check them out on my YouTube.

I clipped the concert into a few different shorts, and I'm really proud of the result! My video editing skills especially, but also the nice fuzz effect on the electric violin. Definitely cooler than I could do a year ago.
