CURRENT STATUS:

• reading: let us descend - jesmyn ward (novel), blood, bones, & butter - gabrielle hamilton (nonfiction), searches: selfood in the digital age - vauhini vara (nonfiction)

• watching: intense/sad/dramas/shorts/international films on MUBI until my trial ends

• listening to: up until very recently, the extremely noisy and wonderful sound of a nest of vaux swifts in our decommissioned chimneystack

• eating: jambalaya

• drinking: coconut water

• harvesting: snap peas & the last of the gladiolus, waiting eagerly for my tomatoes to be ready

• planting: green onions

• grateful for: decent summer temps, unexpected time off work, comfortable pillows

• tinkering with: using roasted black sesame paste in various ways (including: additive to masala chai, black sesame & coconut ice cream) and so far, everything is delicious

• recovering from: reactivated EBV, turns out!

• obsessed with: how starfish eat, holy shit

• art: working on zine illustrations & collage using old national geographic magazines
