• eating: leftovers

• drinking: sparkling water with the candied beet syrup i made (similar to: this beet shrub recipe)

• longing for: what zoe leonard wrote about in her “i want a president” 1992 poem, which feels absurd to think just how long we’ve been chasing after something like it
