i was having dinner last night with one of my favorite humans, who shared with me numerous gems of information, including figure-skating gay icons; slovenian wine; mexican swimming caves and all the things in the water to be afraid of, and much more that i've already forgotten because auditory memory ain't really my strong suit.

but we also talked about the moon a lot, and read through a list of features for oceans, sinus, maria, and paludes together. have you ever really looked at a map of the moon? did you know there have been a lot of beautiful and strange renderings of it over time? or that the names are profoundly poetic and more than a little goth?
