Testing things out
Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3...
I'm going to give myself a bit of freedom to figure out what to do with this, especially in this first newsletter that is just about testing out buttondown. Freedom to tinker and explore is something I'm very much looking forward to.
At the same time, not having definite goals brings some danger of wandering aimlessly. One goal that comes to mind is this: every day, I want to make at least one person (other than myself) happy through some new work I've done, even if it's just amusing them with a silly thing like https://revfad.com/flip.html. It'd be better to improve things for millions or billions of people, but one person is a start.
Maybe that's not concrete enough of a goal to really serve as guide though? I'll think about it. I'd love to hear your ideas too. What are your goals?
One neat thing: last night, walking around the Stanford campus, we followed the sound of singing frogs to Lake Lagunita: https://youtu.be/nej-x482PFw. It was peaceful standing by the lake, listening to the frogs, looking at the lights reflected in the water.
