Szymborska’s work is distinguished by intellectual clarity, irony, and philosophical depth. Her poems examine history, science, chance, and ordinary human experience with precision and moral restraint. A major collection, "View with a Grain of Sand" (1995), introduced her to a wide international audience. She was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1996.
