I Want My DinoTV: Walking With Dinosaurs E5
"The Journey North" recapitulates the 2013 Walking With Dinosaurs movie, which leads us back to some of the same flaws.
The sign was perfect. Posted among the creaking trees in their autumn colors, it declared the woodland site as “The River of Death and Discovery Bonebed.” And, perhaps unusually for titles given to dinosauriana, the name was not overhyped. Thousands of dinosaurs are encased in the locale’s turbulent rock, stretching more than a half mile from the exposed portion into the hillside behind. I could have spent all day there, looking for bones just beginning to emerge from the rock. In truth I was only there as part of a tour to visit the site long after the field season was over, but it’s always a thrill to see the places dinosaurs come out of the ground.
It is this place that plays a significant role in episode five of the Walking With Dinosaurs reboot, “The Journey North.”
