What would be the purpose of a "Community Hub"?
We invited a group of Marlow residents to discuss the idea of a “community hub” on Sat 25 Jan. We had prepared 5 questions to explore this concept, which was originally raised at the 2024 Marlow Residents' Forum.

The first question asked about the overall purpose of a community hub in Marlow. The feedback focused on the need to connect and inform people, welcome newcomers and encourage shared activities. There was an emphasis on 'connecting the disconnected' such as those residents who are lonely or isolated, whether young people or the elderly. The overwhelming vote was for something both virtual and physical, the latter utilising existing town centre venues. Residents wanted the community hub to point people into what was happening in Marlow, whether volunteering, work experience, skills development or just fun activities.
More to follow on the discussion of the other questions over the next few days.
