Meet our candidates: Muryel

Today we introduce Muryel, one of our candidates in the North & West ward for Thursday’s Town Council elections.
Muryel has been a resident of Marlow since 2004 and after spending 20 years travelling the world for business purposes, has become an active member of the community. She set up her own business during the pandemic and became a Sustainability consultant working for all kind of industry, supporting businesses being a Force for good. Muryel was involved with the refill shop Seed 1. She currently supports the Refugee cause (Marlow Refugee Action/ Wycombe Refugee Partnership) and the rewilding movement (Pocket Wilding) after hours. She is a dedicated yogini and you will be familiar with her beret-ed silhouette as she roams the streets of Marlow and the Thames path.

Some of her ideas for the town council are:
Organise frequent clinic sessions between MTC and the residents to promote transparency, listening and understanding.
Set a local spend target for the use of MTC budget to promote local businesses.
Set up a charity of the month and ensure they can access MTC resource for that period of time.
Make the Marlovian a community magazine.
