Marlow Residents Forum 2024 - bringing together the community
On 13th October, we brought together 50 randomly selected Marlow residents in Liston Hall, to discuss what they liked and disliked about our town, and imagined Marlow’s future.
The majority felt their opinions were valued and over two thirds of participants talked to 6 or more fellow previously unknown residents
There were strong views around access to the countryside, the Temple footbridge, alternative mobility and the community feel of Marlow. We are still investigating these themes and our follow-up. It was an inspiring event for all involved.
This was an experiment in resident powered local democracy, and one that we will definitely repeat.
