Community hub - what would you like to be part of?
Dear ,
This is the third instalment in our series of posts following the forum on Saturday 25 January to discuss the concept of a ‘community hub’ in Marlow.
Question 3 at the forum asked ‘what would you like to be part of?’ The emphasis in feedback was ‘to be part of something that gets things done’. This could be gardening or litter picking: a tidy Marlow which is pretty with flowers. There was also a commercial wish to create a retail space for local businesses and artists, including locally produced food and drink. Some people wanted to develop a ‘Residents Advice’ for Marlow and for the hub to offer classes to learn new skills. There was a clear wish for all existing activities to be publicised at locations such as the library, The Ark Cafe, Liston Hall, Pugin Rooms and Court Garden House.
“I found this afternoon extremely interesting…. a very informed group of people. Hopefully the feedback provided by all attendees will go towards providing a structure for the Hub.” Marlow Resident
