hi folks,
it turns out is hard to frequently update a newsletter on the premise of ‘keeping up with what i’m doing’, when mostly what i’m doing is writing, like, a sentence a week on my dissertation until i die i guess?
anyway.
i have been writing a bit more over at hyperreal; i’m working on a piece about paul preciado’s orlando, my political biography at present. will probably also drop a review of megan 2.0 duh.
it has probably been a … few months since i last drew something, which is both kind of terrifying and kind of liberating. i recently had a conversation with my therapist about the idea of being ‘a guy with a job’ and nothing else. it’s in my grasp. but i kind of hate the idea! but it’s also kind of tempting! not that i’d ever give up drawing forever or anything like that. i’m just slowly coming to terms with the fact that my relationship to drawing as-a-career is not what i thought it would be when i was 15. or 20, even. (whodathunk.)
i did recently export my tumblr blog from when i was a teenager. that’s been fun to go through. creatively i was cooking then. might reshare some of that stuff if folks are interested.
annnywaaaay thats really it! just like reminding people i exist! hope yall are doing well all things considered.
