hi friends,
did you know mercury has been in retrograde?? totally missed that. i mean, i do think retrogrades get a little overblown in pop-astrology anyway, it’s not like it being retrograde means you will absolutely run into trouble. then again, i work in tech support and it has been a weird one.
anyway!
i have a little roundup of things for y’all.
first, in case you missed it, my interviews with trans cartoonists continue on the Drawing a Dialogue feed. so far we’ve interviewed emma jayne, sunmi, and seosamh — all fantastic, giant-brained artists i feel very incredibly grateful to have gotten to chat with. if you haven’t yet, listen!!
also feel free to give us a good review or whatever it is you do with podcasts. cathy & i have never been hugely concerned with like, uh, “growth” or whatever but we have been doing it as a labor of love since 2017 and we appreciate reviews and all of that :-)
second, if you didn’t know, i edit & occasionally write for hyperreal film journal, the publication arm of austin’s hyperreal film club. i recently wrote a review of the extremely fantastic blonde death which i highly, highly recommend checking out (the movie, but feel free to check out my review too - it does have spoilers!) i’ve got some fun plans in the works with hyperreal including a riverdale recap column (iykyk) & i’ll loop y’all in when that goes live.
i also do movie posters for them sometimes. i love to do movie posters. if any of yall have a criterion or letterboxd hookup... winks.
