ποΈ What's new in BoutiqueOS this week
Good afternoon!
It's been a couple of weeks since the last update β but a productive couple of weeks. As always, you can find the full change log inside the app under Help β What's New, and if you have questions or feedback, please reply to this email or contact me directly!
π A quick milestone
We've now passed 1,800 orders imported across all users, with over 7,500 product grids auto-created in Heartland. The pace is picking up, and so is what these tools can do β most of what's in this update came directly from things you've asked for.
Here's whatβs new and now live:
π·οΈ Two new brands in the import tool β Esqualo and Milio Milano are now in the brand dropdown on the Import page. Select the brand, import the file. For Milio Milano, both "Order" and "Quote" PDFs work the same way β no need to convert anything first.
π Merge split items on the review page β Sometimes a brand puts the size into the SKU instead of treating it as a real size (Faire does this with hats, for example), and one product gets imported as two or three separate items. You can now check the boxes next to those items, click "Merge into one product," and combine them into a single product grid with multiple sizes. The system warns you if anything looks different between the merged items, and there's an undo if you change your mind.
π Sizes now display smallest-to-largest β Small fix but a long-standing annoyance. Sizes on the review screen used to display alphabetically (L, M, S, XS β backwards from how anyone actually thinks about sizes). They now display in natural order: XS, S, M, L, XL. Numeric sizes (4, 6, 8...) sort correctly too.
π¨ Append color to product name β now in 2D grids β If you use a Color Γ Size grid in Heartland but also want the color to appear in the product name (e.g., "Linen Top, Navy"), there's now a setting for that. Go to Settings β your Heartland connection β Configure Fields β "Append color to product name" and pick your separator (comma, dash, or parentheses).
π Faire download dropdown change β Heads up: Faire updated their order page, and it looks like theyβre slowly migrating to all user accounts and brands. For some brands, where you used to click "Download Order" and get a CSV automatically, you now click "Download Order" β and pick "Product info (.csv)" from a dropdown. Both old and new format CSVs work in our tool, so either format import fine.
π RetailAdvisor margin calculation corrected (for those of you on the full suite) β A bug in how RetailAdvisor calculated margin has been fixed. Returns are now properly excluded from the margin calculation, matching Heartland's "Sold Margin" methodology. If your margin numbers in Brand Scorecards, StoreIQ, or AdvisorAI look higher than before β they're now correct. Your true margin was always at this level; the previous numbers were understated. No action needed on your end.
π Thank you
A real thanks for the brand samples, the feature ideas, and the bug reports. The merge feature in particular came directly from a conversation about a Faire hat order that wasn't importing cleanly β and now it's a feature every store benefits from. That's the loop that makes this work.
If something's not working or you have an idea, just reply to this email, call, or text.
Thank you!
