A Special Local Workshop

My first self-hosted class

reinasaur mail reinasaur mail

I’m here to announce a local workshop!

This one is special (see below!)

🥚 Sunday, February 8, 2026, 10am–4pm
🍳 Draw Together Studio in Oakland/Emeryville

Register here

On the surface, this full-day workshop will be like my previous ones. I’ll cover similar skills to get you moving into paper art and making your own paper food. But on the Reinasaur-as-business side, I’m taking a little leap: I’m self-hosting this one. My past workshops have been run through art organizations and schools, who have provided space and registration logistics. I’m feeling ready to try things on my own and have jumped in to host the workshop at the wonderful DrawTogether studio, run by the also wonderful Wendy MacNaughton. I love DrawTogether’s energy and ethos, and I can’t think of a better space to try this out.

So, if you have been hoping to take a workshop and would like the added bonus of directly supporting an artist, this would be the one! Bring a friend, gift a loved one, or ✨gift yourself✨ for a fun, full-day workshop in a comfortable, communal space!

On the horizon…a 6-day class!

I’m very excited to announce that at the end of May 2026, I’ll be teaching a 6 day course at Arrowmont, a school at the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It’ll be my first time there, and I can’t wait to experience the campus (though I hear there are bears?!). The class will be available for registration starting on January 5, 2026, and you can sign up to be notified.

Where can you find my work?

I’ve gotten a couple questions about where to find my work for purchase, so here’s a handy link list:

  • Original, 3D cake pieces at the Penland Gallery

  • Fine art prints and one (!!) framed original in my shop

Photograph of a pair of glasses made of paper on top of a white sheet of paper. In the lenses of the glasses are the paper letters "APR" and "%" arranged to look magnified.

Thanks for making it to the bottom! Here’s a bonus image: my favorite photo from a set of five that I created for NPR’s Life Kit podcast newsletter this fall. It’s about reviewing credit card agreements and statements. The glasses and the paper pieces in the lenses were all photographed together and arranged on set!
