We're taking the day off! All three of us are busy elsewhere, so we're using the opportunity for a bit of a break – though we'll be back on Friday, May 8, with something new.

/out of frame, now with a double meaning because none of us are actually here:

🔑 Rollin: Was reminded this week of the decades-old Flash animation from Vinnie Veritas, which I saw and loved on Newgrounds circa… 2005? Or so? There's a lovely energy to it all, and I can't recommend it enough. They're not exactly pro work, but it's stuck with me ever since.

🌞 Kambole: Embargoes mean I can't actually talk about the most interesting things I've been watching yet but in the meantime I've been loving Saros, the new roguelike shooter from Housemarque. The studio's last game Returnal is one of only a handful of games which felt like it actually took an interest in leaning into the PS5 hardware's newfound tactility through its clever use of the DualSense controller specifically - Saros doesn't feel quite as revolutionary, but it builds upon those innovations in some very satisfying ways.

👶 Toussaint: Nothing on my end to report this week other than my son just turned four months! Plus, he just started rolling over. Exciting times in my household!
