Click the icon on any recipe page and your table opens in the next tab. No copying, no pasting, no life story.

Also, a word on the last week and a half, because it still hasn’t quite landed.

I posted the idea on a Wednesday expecting a few hundred people to see it. It did 15 million views. Around 50,000 of them came and used the thing — in a week.

The replies turned into a to-do list I’m still working through. The extension came out of them, and so did the other big one: you can photograph a cookbook page now and get the whole recipe back as a table, any layout, any language.

There are also thousands of recipes in the public library now! Check them out to get inspired.

One last thing. RecipeTables has no ads, no paywall, and you can convert as much as you want. We’ll add paid features soon, but we want to give people who are here early and like the project a chance to participate early — and you’ll get all paid features for free, forever:
