I HAVE A BOOK!!!
IT'S FINALLY HERE!
Hi friends! I'm so sorry for my long absence on here — it's been a tough year with family and health situations. But! I get to share one of the awesome things that happened this summer, and I'd also like to welcome some new followers.

In something of a surprise, the copies of Meet Sister Mary Margaret came early from the printer in August. Sister Mary Margaret was out in the world almost before I knew it, and I've been running to keep up. Just LOOK at how adorable this book is!

Perhaps the most fun part of receiving my author copies — besides having my name in print — was seeing Christopher Tupa's art in real life. His bright colors, endearing facial expressions, and the addition of some elements I never expected...I'm in awe. I wrote the words, but he made them come alive. Kudos also to Lindsey, our designer at OSV, whose thoughtful layout and text decisions added a whole new dimension.

I've been able to sign copies at a couple of Catholic bookstores, which is the most surreal feeling, and I had an absolutely delightful Zoom visit to the real Sister Mary Margaret's 4th-grade classroom. The kids had lots of questions about our cats. They also apparently came out of my visit with a new interest in writing stories — yay!
The release of MSMM is absolutely one of the bright spots of this year. I need to put a lot more work into my marketing efforts, but I'm excited to dig in and share Sister Mary Margaret with the world.
If you've bought a copy, please do leave an Amazon and/or Goodreads review. Those help both authors and publishers more than you might guess. And if you don't have a copy...well, it's available here at OSV Kids (along with a number of other amazing kids books.)
Between now and the beginning of November, I'm wrapping up a handful of work and freelance projects, preparing for my boss to go on maternity leave, and gearing up for another epic NaNoWriMo adventure. And, you know, trying to stay sane.
Have a great day!
