So Soon in June
I'm doing some things and you should come see me
Dear Friends,
I know – again so soon! Things are heating up here and now there is news to actually tell you so this won’t be so full of meanderings.

I’m Doing Some Things:
June 12, I will be at Bow Market in Somerville MA to write you a poem on my typewriter. I’m joining other poets at the Boston Book Festival’s LitCrawl to conjure poems from the words, images, stories given to us. I’ll be working from 7:30 to 9… Come by and get a poem! The LitCrawl has a lot of other cool things, aside from bespoke poems.
June 17, The Notebooks Collective is hosting Jennifer Funk and Megan Pinto for an In Conversation. Jen and I were in a Grub Street poetry class together, all the way back in 2013. Now she has a book out and has invited her fellow Warren Wilson alum to join her in conversation.
June 22, We are celebrating Ellen Austin-Li’s debut collection with a reading and conversation with Pauletta Hansel. Get your copy of Incidental Pollen and then join us!
In July, I’m excited to announce I will be teaching two classes and talking poetry at the library.
The classes I have developed for Art Space Maynard are meant for both writers and visual artists, celebrating the ways these disciplines work together:
Found Poems: Collage and Erasure, Sunday, July 13, 10AM-12PM
Art Poetry: An Ekphrastic Evening, Thursday, July 24, 6-8PM
July 31, I will be facilitating a poetry appreciation group at the Maynard Public Library. We’ll be reading poems by Ada Limón and reflecting on what we see in them. Again, this is open to all who want to slow down and enjoy language.
Happy summer and more soon!
XOX,
Becca
