A very happy birthday to Betty White, who turned 99 today. She doesn't know it, but she helped me get through many days this past year thanks to her 35-year-old performance in The Golden Girls, which became my go-to background and comfort TV.

Besides her considerable resume in scripted TV, she's also well-known for her game shows and unscripted TV, from Password to The $25,000 Pyramid, and more recently hosting the hidden camera series Betty White's Off Their Rockers.
